Simply register on theindiaphile website to be in with a chance of winning a fantastic Rag Bag and wallet

Although not available yet in the UK, we’ve been able to get hold of one of these fantastic Rag-Bags and a Rag-bag wallet as a competition prize for theindiaphile. Made from recycled plastics in India, Rag-Bag won the Brands with a Conscience award last year and looks set to take the world by storm.

Rag-Bag work with ragpickers in New Delhi, who collect plastic waste bags and sell it to the collection centers. Plastic rags are washed, dried and separated by colour. The plastic bags then go into a machine, which presses them into thicker and more durable sheets. This colourful sheets are processed to bags and other items in small family companies.

The project is already creating jobs for more than 60 ragpickers, people at collection centers and fabricators in New Delhi. It is providing them and their families ‘means of livelihood’ and access to more opportunities.

To be in with a chance of winning one of these fantastic ragbags, simply register on theindiaphile website before August 1. We’ll choose one lucky winner at random and post these out to you.
